Find and Secure a Home

Now is the fun part—the part you’ve been waiting for. It’s time to search for your new home! Armed with your pre-approval, you’ll know exactly what price range to search in.

Remember to take notes on each of the homes you visit. After you’ve seen a few, they all start to run together. You may even want to take pictures or videos of things you want to remember.

With any luck, you’ll find one you love right away.

But if you don’t, there’s no reason to worry. Your pre-approval letter is good for 60 to 90 days, and we can re-verify it with updated financial documents.

Once you’ve found the right home, your Realtor® will help you write and submit an offer. You’ll negotiate a fair offer with the seller, based on the homes in the surrounding area. Once you’ve come to an agreement, paid earnest money, and signed the paperwork, we go into action.

Up next, learn what we do after you find a home and what we’ll need from you as we put together your full application for a mortgage.
