What I Do Best

Here's Where I Specialize

“As a broker, I compare many lenders to find what fits your situation. I work across a wide range of programs, but these are three I’m known for.”

Conventional Loans

“For buyers with steady income and solid credit, a conventional loan can mean a lower long-term cost and no mortgage insurance once you have enough equity. I’ll run the numbers so the choice is clear, not confusing.”

VA Loans

“If you’ve served, you’ve earned one of the best loan benefits out there. VA loans can mean no down payment and no monthly mortgage insurance. I’ll walk you through your entitlement and make sure you get the full value of what you earned.”

FHA Loans

“FHA loans are often the smartest path for buyers with a smaller down payment or a shorter credit history. I’ll compare FHA to conventional side by side, so you can see which one actually saves you money over the life of the loan.”

These are three of my strengths, but I work with the full range of loan programs available, including Non-QM and investor loans →

Wondering What Rate You'd Qualify For?

Your rate depends on your credit score, loan type, and financial profile, not a national average. Let me show you what you actually qualify for.

Why I Do This Work

Michael Adibe
“Your favorite loan officer and mortgage advisor for a lifetime.”

I’m Michael Adibe, Branch Manager at Lender Express. I’ve spent 10 years in the mortgage business, and I serve clients across Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, and Texas.

It’s a joy to be a blessing to my clients and to educate them along the way. It doesn’t matter if you’re a first-time buyer or an investor with more than 10 properties. Buying real estate is a major investment, and I take that seriously, because I understand the impact it can have on your life and the memories that come with it.

What I love most is finding creative solutions. I look for the angle that puts you in the best position to succeed, then I keep showing up long after closing. My goal isn’t to do one loan and move on. It’s to become your loan officer for a lifetime.

I got into this work to be in a position that’s valuable to my family and to the people I serve. I didn’t realize how gratifying it would be to help people on this scale. Every client I can impact in a positive way is a reminder of why I do this.

I’m a broker, so I’m not tied to one lender’s products. I shop your loan across many lenders and bring you the options that fit best. You get a real comparison, not just whatever one bank happens to offer.

I live in the Dallas metroplex with my family. When I’m not working, I enjoy motivating others to reach their goals. That same drive is what I bring to every client I serve.

Questions I Hear Most

Understanding the Broker Model
What’s the difference between a mortgage broker and a lender?
A lender offers only their own loan products. As a broker, I shop your loan across many lenders to find the best rate and terms for your situation. You get more options and a true comparison, not just whatever one institution happens to offer.
How do I know which loan program is right for me?
That’s exactly what our first conversation is for. The right program depends on your credit, income, down payment, and goals. The answer isn’t always obvious. I’ll walk you through your options with real numbers so you can make an informed choice, not just take whatever you’re handed.
Getting Started
What’s the difference between being pre-qualified and pre-approved?
Pre-qualification is usually a verbal estimate based on what you tell me over the phone or online. It’s a starting point, not a commitment. Pre-approval is a full review of your actual income, credit, and assets, and it comes with a written letter you can show to sellers and agents. Sellers take pre-approval seriously. If you’re serious about buying, pre-approval is where you want to be.
How long does it take to get pre-approved?
Most borrowers get a decision within 24 to 48 hours of sending in their documents. In simple cases, same-day pre-approval is possible. The faster you get me your income documents and ID, the faster we can move.
What documents will I need to get started?
For most borrowers: your last two years of tax returns, last two pay stubs, last two months of bank statements, and a government-issued photo ID. Self-employed borrowers and investors may need additional documents, and I’ll tell you exactly what. I’ll send you a specific checklist once we talk.
Credit and Qualification
How does my credit score affect my rate and loan options?
Your credit score affects both which programs you qualify for and the rate you’ll be offered. A higher score generally means a lower rate and more options. But a lower score doesn’t shut you out. FHA loans, for example, allow scores as low as 580. I’ll tell you exactly where you stand and what, if anything, is worth fixing before you apply.
Can I get pre-approved if I’ve had credit issues in the past?
Often, yes. Past credit issues don’t automatically disqualify you. It depends on what happened, when, and what your situation looks like today. Finding creative solutions for tougher situations is one of my strengths. The best thing you can do is have an honest conversation with me so we can look at your full picture, not just a number.
Specialty Programs
How does a VA loan work, and how do I know if I qualify?
If you’re a veteran, active-duty service member, or in many cases a surviving spouse, you may have earned a VA loan benefit. It can mean no down payment and no monthly mortgage insurance, which is one of the strongest benefits in the market. I’ll help you request your Certificate of Eligibility and walk you through your entitlement so you get the full value of what you earned.
I’m self-employed. Can I still get a mortgage?
Yes. Self-employed income trips up a lot of buyers, but there’s more than one way to qualify. Beyond standard loans, Non-QM programs let us use bank statements or a profit and loss statement instead of tax returns. I’ll look at how you actually earn and match you to a program built for it.
I’m a real estate investor. Can you help me grow my portfolio?
Absolutely. This is one of my favorite kinds of clients to work with. I handle everything from your first rental to a portfolio of 10-plus properties, including DSCR loans that qualify you on the property’s rental income rather than your personal income. We’ll look at the numbers together so each deal moves you forward.
Working with Michael Adibe
You serve five states. Are you local to me?
I’m licensed in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, and Texas, and I work remotely, so I serve clients across all five. You’ll submit your application and documents through a secure borrower portal, and signing is done electronically. Wherever you are in those states, the process is just as smooth.
What do you mean by “loan officer for a lifetime”?
Exactly what it sounds like. I’m not here to close one loan and disappear. After we close, I stay in your corner for refinances, your next purchase, investment questions, or just advice. When you need a mortgage answer years from now, I want to be the person you call.
How does the mortgage process work when everything is done remotely?
Exactly the same as in person, just without the commute. Application, document collection, appraisal coordination, underwriting, and closing are all handled electronically. Your documents go through a secure borrower portal, so your information stays protected. I stay reachable at every step.
